Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire présentant une surface granuleuse suite à une ancienne oxydation et recouvert d’une légère patine grise

Commentary

L’émission de ce type monétaire, sur flan large, est daté par Dominique Legros autour de 950. Legros ne recense qu’un seul autre exemplaire publié au XIXe siècle par Gariel et propose d’attribuer cette monnaie à Foulques II le Bon (942?-960?).
The issue of this type of coin, on a large flan, is dated by Dominique Legros to around 950. Legros only lists one other example published in the 19th century by Gariel and suggests attributing this coin to Foulques II the Good (942?-960?)
