Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais centré des deux côtés. Usure importante, mais parfaitement lisible et identifiable. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine vert foncé

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé d'Anastase à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A'a) ; diadème perlé.

Commentary


Petit module. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées, mais le diadème n’est pas visible sur cet exemplaire. Fibule d’attache sur l’épaule avec un portrait légèrement stylisé. Ptéryges fines et tombantes.

After Zeno's assassination, Anastase marries Ariadne who chooses him as emperor. His very long reign of 27 years restores imperial power. He died without an heir, but is today considered the founder of the Byzantine Empire.
