Commentary

Watermarked final proof, front and back, without numbering or signature. Drawings by Camille Chazal, watermarks by Jean Baptiste Eugène Farochon, printed by the Banque de France. 15 known banknotes for all four existing values, all dated 1866: four for $10, three for the $20 and $200, and five for the $100. These are mainly single-sided proofs. Only one watermarked final proof is currently known for the $100 belonging to the Bank of Mexico. We therefore offer you an exceptional series of three different values in watermarked final proofs. Sources: article by M.
