Commentary

This coin was struck to commemorate the birth of Jacques Rueff (1896-1978), the initiator of the New Franc. This coin comes from a mint roll and has never circulated. However, it suffered minor manufacturing shocks that exclude the FDC. It is likely that no FDC example of this type exists, barring a miracle. In a roll of mint coins, the proportion of coins reaching the SPL is one in ten.
