Flan court mais relativement lourd, avec des types de droit et de revers assez bien venus à la frappe et bien centrés. Fine patine superficielle et de très légères traces de frottage sur les parties les plus en relief du droit

Obverse description : Tête à gauche ; une grande croix devant le visage et une croisette derrière la nuque ; légende rétrograde, de la nuque à l’avant du front.

Commentary


Malgré des légendes assez bien venues et presque complètes, qu’il n’est pas difficile de restituer, ce triens reste sans attribution. La légende AVNERODISX du revers ne correspond à aucun atelier ni à aucun monétaire. La légende du droit, à supposer qu’elle doive être lue DVNO, pourrait faire penser à certains triens de DVNVM, Chateaudun en Eure-et-Loir.
Les monnaies répertoriées pour cet atelier sont au nom de SVVIDS, VVALIVLFVS et HILEBODVS. La légende de revers ne correspond à aucun d’eux et aucun triens de Chateaudun ne présente ce même style de droit ni ce type de croix au revers.
