(1541-1789)

Gegenna became Geneva December 4, 1535. On 24 November 1535 the Council of Two Hundred decided to strike coins in the name of the Republic of Geneva, the first ridge soils were struck from 1536. The republic of Geneva is proclaimed 21 May 1536 and the reformed religion becomes state religion. Education is compulsory and free.
