Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale et irrégulier, un peu court sur la légende de droit. Très beau portrait de haut relief. Joli revers bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés

Athalaric, grandson of Theodoric the Great (493-526) is the son of Amalasuntha and Eutharic. His father died in 522 and he succeeded his grandfather in 526. On his death in 534, his mother Amalasuntha disputed power with Theodahad (534-536), nephew of Theodoric the Great.
