Geta

(06/198-26/02/212) Lucius puis Publius Septimius Geta

Caesar (06/198-fin209)

Geta, born May 26, 189, became Caesar in 198 and the following year received the title of Pontifex. He accompanied his father and brother in Britain from 208 and amounted to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died at York on 4 February 211, the brothers bring the ashes of their father to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla killed his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "Memoriae damnatio" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
